Performance (August 2024):

The Cost per Rail Passenger Trip of $10.78 in August exceeded the forecast by $1.53. This unfavorable variance was due to rail ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.5 million. The 2025 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through August) Cost per Rail Passenger Trip of $11.24 exceeded the forecast by $2.78. This unfavorable variance was due to rail ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.7 million unlinked passenger trips and operating expenses coming in over budget.
