MARTA Public Meetings & Surveys

The following is a list of upcoming public meetings hosted by MARTA and current surveys seeking public comment. For more information about these and other MARTA projects, please visit our Projects page here. 

Upcoming Public Meetings: 

Buford Highway Arterial Rapid Transit (ART) 

Purpose: MARTA is working to deliver ART bus service to Buford Highway between Lindbergh and Doraville Stations. ART will create a network of fast, frequent routes on existing high-density, mixed-use arterial corridors. ART buses typically operates in mixed traffic with other vehicles and is characterized by short wait times, traffic signal priority, queue jump lanes, and enhanced amenities. MARTA needs your input as the project approaches final design and construction later in 2023.

South DeKalb Transit Initiative 

Purpose: The South Dekalb Transit Initiative is an effort to address the expected growth along the I-20 corridor by creating dependable and reliable transit options where people live, work, and play. MARTA is seeking high-level input from South DeKalb County residents about their transportation needs as we plan for major transit investments in the area. Five Points Transformation  

Purpose: The Five Points Transformation is a major redesign and renovation of MARTA’s largest and busiest transit station. This includes a newly designed plaza level, improved wayfinding and transfers for our customers, and public spaces that allow for more retail and activities. The interior platform levels will also be renovated to improve the experience for customers. Bus Network Redesign 

Purpose: The Bus Network Redesign is a plan to improve and advance our system-wide bus services. MARTA has developed two bus route concepts that prioritize frequency or coverage of bus stops across the metropolitan area. MARTA is seeking high-level input from residents about their transportation needs as we move forward with making our bus service work better for you.
